Some interesting facts in the timeline, when the iTunes Store was launch back on the 28th of April 2003, there we a total of 200,000 songs available to buy, since then Apple has sold more that 25 billion songs.

| ZTE Signs Patent Deal With Microsoft For Google’s Android OS Posted: 24 Apr 2013 06:23 AM PDT ZTE is the latest company to sign a patent licensing deal for Google Android OS, and joins the likes of HTC, Acer, Samsung, LG and more who have a deal in place with Microsoft. Microsoft owns a number of patents which are used in Google’s Android OS, and it would appear that the next company Microsoft wants to make a deal with on Android is Google’s own Motorola.

| Google Buys Wavii For $30 Million Posted: 24 Apr 2013 03:35 AM PDT Google has purchased Wavii for a reported $30 million, Wavii is a natural language processing startup, and apparently both Apple and Google were looking to buy the company, but Google has managed to come to a deal with Wavii. Wavii’s team, which is 25 strong will join Google, including the company’s founder Adrian Aoun, the team will be moving to join Google’s Knowledge Graph division in Seattle.

| Apple’s App Store Hits 45 Billion Downloads Posted: 24 Apr 2013 03:29 AM PDT Yesterday Apple released its latest financial results, it also revealed details on how many device it sold, and Apple also announced that their App Store has hit a massive 45 billion downloads. Back in January of this year Apple announced that they had hit 40 billion downloads, so that is an increase of 5 billion since January, they also revealed that they have now paid their iOS developers more than $9 billion.

T-Mobile will start selling the Samsung Galaxy S4 next Monday the 29th of April, the handset will be available for $149.99 plus $20 a month, on top of this you will need to pay for calls, text and data with a T-Mobile Uncarrier plan.

| Apple’s Tim Cook Talks About The iPhone 5 Posted: 24 Apr 2013 01:50 AM PDT Yesterday Apple announced their latest financial results, and they managed to sell more iPhones in the last quarter than they did the year before, although the number of devices sold included the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and iPhone 5. Apple didn’t reveal how many iPhone 5 units they sold, and there have been reports that sales of the handset have not been as strong as previous device launches, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook talked about the iPhone 5 during yesterday’s earning call.

| Apple Posts Latest Financial Results Posted: 24 Apr 2013 12:13 AM PDT Apple has released its latest financial results for the second fiscal quarter which ended on the 30th of March 2013, Apple had a total revenue for the quarter of $43.6 billion US dollars and a net quarterly profit of $9.5 billion. The profits are down slightly from the same quarter the year before where Apple had a net profit 0f $11.6 billion and revenue of $39.2 billion, they also shared some details on how many of their devices were sold for the quarter.
